My faith in my fellow citizens was not at all well placed 2004-11-03 - 1:10 a.m. 
The republicans have a majority in the house, the senate, and--unless there's a major recount scandal that favors the democrats in Ohio--the president has another 4 years with his neo-conservative cabal.Bush has over 2.5 million more votes than Kerry in the popular vote. Tom Daschle, senate majority leader, is hanging by a thread for re-election. And I haven't heard from my quasi-perhaps-not sure-maybe girlfriend in 5 weeks, and the number of a friend she left connects to an old dude. I remain patient but I'm sad to say also skeptical, since she said she'd have her phone soon the last time we spoke. And my car insurance doesn't include Insanityville--something my car insurance just figured out But my paper is done, so the day isn't a total wash. |
