I have founded a new school of non-art! 2006-05-27 - 2:55 a.m. 
I have decided to found a new school of art: Post-Dadaism. (or if that's taken, Dadarealism). My frankphotography has a new home.I submit exhibit A: Dadaist Sweatercore. Alternatively, it's called 'Post-Modern Neo-shoegaze Dadaist Indie-Punk Sweatercore.' But long titles are for pop-politik books My work is not anti-art, nor is it art. I rape art, lightly season it, then pick at and eat its carcass. Dadaism was a giant middle finger. Post-Dadaism is a rabid shoulder shrug. Mine is a meta-narrative of raw proto-surrealism that rejects structure, harmony, order, realism, time, and space. In essence it is the natural conclusion of post-modernity: vague but complex, entirely autobiographical to the viewer but self-referential. At least that's generally what I'll say to confuse gallery snobs and get laid. I have a dream. |
