Life is on an upturn in the usual cycle 2008-10-18 - 1:51 a.m. 
For the first time in nearly a year, I feel hope. Life is on an upswing.My 4 or 5 year game project is steadily drawing to completion. My credit card is nearly paid off. My goals for completing my Ph.D. are clear and complicated, instead of a black mud wasteland. My relationship is still healthy and not fucked up or dysfunctional. My ability to still do things I used to do is intact. I made it through another cycle of self-made Hell. The last decade hasn't worn down my resilience, even if my long-term memory has seen better days. Maybe the downturn in life won't happen for awhile. But it will happen again, and I'll be ready. |
