Y'know, for having a perpetual 9am skyline, New Jersey's skyline at 9am makes it look alot like the afternoon. This state has celestial issues.Yesterday I felt old. A combination of letters, the scenery, and bits of conversation reminded me of why "old man" seems to have stuck as my nickname for some. To be honest I don't like giving you or anyone else sagely advice. You associate me with a need, I get called up when that need arises. Otherwise I'm a tab in your day-planner or some harddrive. You can laud me 'til Hell freezes over; it's just payment for services rendered. Would it kill you to treat me like an equal, insignificant human being instead of your god or mentor? I'm just a guy. A normal, albeit strange, guy. I'm going to a reenactment of the Battle of Princeton today, followed by Lord of the Rings. It will be yummy. |
