MIT...the rest of the UC's...still nothing. No openings to be found. If the Princeton job doesn't end up working out, I may have to apply for overseas positions at Oxford or Aberswyth. I have a few contacts there...or I used to at least. It'd be terrible pay, a more formal atmosphere than what I'm accustomed to and for all my talk about wanting to be "that queer American," getting used to a new culture by myself seems to be a great opening for a non-fictive story of excessive drinking and chapters of reminiscing about London fog.I can only keep hoping that I'll get a break and get in. I don't know if anything else'll work out. This needing to have faith thing is consistent at least. Then again so are bowel movements and only a handful of authors have lauded those dynamic initiatives. |
