I went by the quad last night after studying to see what people were doing. Omega Kate was writing porn, Alec and Alpha Kate looked bored, and Erin looked at me with a mix between derision and apathy. I thought we already resolved this whole "I started an affair with you, wait I feel guilty and can't accept that, hey I'll just ignore or insult you instead" ex-lover bullshit. Ah well, at least I tried.

At about the same time I came in a few other people showed up. Alec mentioned he was going to do something earlier, but then really didn't feel like doing it. Everyone, as usual, felt like doing something but were tired but were fine with whatever. I had to suggest a few things before Alec or anyone else shot the idea down. A few of us decided to leave when the 'sitting around and looking bored' option won out. Ah well, at least I tried.

Ahh, and then there was Matt's place. Opening the door I saw Bo, his chica Liz, and Matt looking chill. As soon as they saw me, though, they got excited, seemed happy to see me, slapping me skin and handshakes in strange ways. I said "What's up?"

They were like, "Dude!, blah blah blah, Food!"

I said "Word."

We ate over at a pizza place, talking about levels of geekness after Matt and Liz had an in-depth discussion about Middle Earth. Just the energy and vibrancy of them took hold of me. I catch half the references but it didn't matter. It was like they were actually alive, had things they wanted to say. Why didn't I find these people sooner?

Today I ran the rats, got my schedule in line. All of my classes are within a 100 feet of each other and back to back (9:30-12:30 mon, wed, fri). Potentially painful, but besides that I just have labs for two of the courses. Just having physical science courses is going to be bland, but at least there's only three of 'em.

I should be responsible and work or something now. I'll go play a game instead.
