According to my W-2, I make 6,000 dollars below the federal poverty line.According to my W-2, I paid 500 bucks in federal taxes. According to my W-2, I paid 200 bucks in state taxes. And according to the thoroughly painless, free, and even enjoyable electronic filing service I just used, I got paid 400 bucks in Earned Income Credit by the federal government because I am completely, absolutely, without question dirt fucking poor. My total return makes me very happy. I will celebrate by consuming .2% of my adjusted annual income--in the form of a chocolate brownie (with walnuts). God Bless Amerika. |
