Poem: 'Sisyphus Skilift'

2008-09-01 - 11:16 p.m.

In the quiet corner of my mind,
I am reminded of a find,
when circumstances threw me far,
whip-crack smack my brain ajar.

A host of seraphim,
dwelling all upon therein,
a threaded game of jacks made dance,
emotions wove on happenstance.

All was bloom,
in light's white loom,
the fuzzy memories unfurl,
even now as bodies twirl.

I saw a lady colored red,
smiling back as darkness fled,
entreatied she a hand to give,
cupping fun whereby to live.

Still sitting solemn slalom,
down the merry road aplomb,
my memory knows no disaster,
of the tomb I have become.
